What it does

This plugin for ATAK collects signal strength (RSSI) data from nearby Wi-Fi networks and tries to determine their positions. It requires location permissions to function correctly.

How to install

Go to the repository's releases page at https://github.com/niccellular/wifi2cot/releases/tag/1.3.
Download the APK file.
Install the downloaded APK in ATAK.

How to use

Ensure your device has internet access and is connected to Wi-Fi.
Open ATAK and navigate to the wifi2cot plugin settings.
Grant necessary permissions for location services and Wi-Fi state changes.
The plugin will start collecting RSSI data from local networks and attempt to map their locations.

Release 1.3 was installed and launched in ATAK 5.7.0 on an emulator (civATAK_5.7 (API 35)) on 2026-10-09.

The plugin loaded and the app did not crash.
