What it does

Enhances ATAK's functionality by allowing the collection of wildland fire perimeters and other polygonal areas. Users can capture GPS tracks for walked or driven routes, including starts and stops. Multiple segments can be joined to form a closed shape with perimeter length and area measurements.

How to install

  1. Install ATAK from Google Play.
  2. Install Fire Area Survey Plugin from Google Play.

How to use

  1. Open ATAK.
  2. Launch the Fire Area Survey Plugin.
  3. Start capturing your route by pressing the start button.
  4. Walk or drive along the perimeter, marking starts and stops as needed.
  5. End the capture session to join segments and create a closed shape.
  6. View and share the collected data with other TAK users.
