ATAK Plugin: Vx

What it does

Enables voice communication between ATAK users through multicast mesh networks (radio/WiFi) or private/public Mumble servers. Supports group chats and point-to-point calls. Can operate in push-to-talk mode or open mic mode where the PTT button is available even when not in foreground. Compatible with Bluetooth headsets.

How to install

1. Install ATAK baseline from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atakmap.app.civ
2. Install Vx plugin from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atakmap.android.gbr.vx.plugin

How to use

1. Open ATAK and navigate to Settings > Tool Preferences > Specific Tool Preferences > Voice Preferences.
2. Configure the desired voice communication settings, including PTT mode and hardware button configuration.
3. Join a mission or create one to define channels for communication.
4. Use the PTT button or configured hardware buttons to start speaking on the selected channel.
