ATAK Plugin: TDAL

What it does

• Displays British National Grid for use within Great Britain.
• Enables the use of two ATAK coordinate systems simultaneously or supports country-specific systems.
• Enhances the 'Goto' tool by adding a BNG tab.
• Provides on-device grid location conversion, useful for offline use.
• Includes offline geocoding with over 500 inhabited places from GeoNames.
• Allows importing any projected coordinate system using its EPSG number.

How to install

1. Install ATAK baseline from the Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atakmap.app.civ
2. Install TDAL Plugin from the Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atakmap.android.bng.plugin

How to use

1. Open ATAK.
2. Go to Tool Preferences > Specific Tool Preferences > TDAL Preferences.
3. Enable Offline Geocoder in the 'GoTo' tool for offline geocoding.
4. Import coordinate systems using their EPSG number or add additional data from GeoNames or OpenStreetMap as needed.
